Linkstar has launched a new macro ring flash. The ring flash has two flash tubes and two LED modeling lights, which help with focusing in the dark. With a guide number of 14, the Linkstar L2R-100 can be used for macro photography, but also for shooting professional portraits.
The Linkstar macro ring flash L2R-100 can be manually set, making it suitable for all cameras with center contact on the hot shoe connection. When using the included hot shoe adapter (HS-25SA), you can mount the ring flash unit to Sony and Minolta cameras. The ring flash has a hot shoe lock, with which the control unit can be locked on the hot shoe of your camera or on the hot shoe adapter.
The Linkstar L2R-100 unit operates on four AA batteries (not included). Four AA batteries can generate up to 800 flashes. The control unit has an external power input, to which an optional Linkstar Battery Pack DCBP-1C can be connected. The battery pack provides a quicker reload of the ring flash. Also more flashes can be generated than with four AA batteries. The ring flash comes with six different adapter rings in the following sizes: 49, 52, 55, 58, 62 & 67 mm. So the ring flash fits on most current camera lenses.
